At last the good weather seems to be returning. Just in time to blow away the rest of this pesky flu that refuses to go. Peter and I had a lovely afternoon just hanging out in the back garden, checking out what was flowering, painting the slabs with water, rolling around in the ball pit and playing with sand. He was very interested in the bumble bees that kept coming to visit the pulmonarias and we sang lots of “round and round the garden, like a teddy bear!” It’s hard to get across to him that flowers in the border and pots are not for picking but it’s okay to pick the “weeds” dandelions and daisys in the grass. In the end quite an assortment of flowers ended up strewn across the patio, *sigh. Still it did look very pretty and I’m sure I remember doing the same thing when I was little!
