Gore Glen Woodland Park

Discovered a gorgeous woodland to walk in that was only about a five minute drive from our house. Not sure how we haven’t heard about it until now but Gore Glen is just south of Newtongrange. There were amazing views at the top across to the Pentland hills then we descended down the valley and followed the river downstream through golden woodland until it joined with another river.

There was an impressive waterfall, craggy cliffs, architectural trees, stone bridges and other intriguing paths to see and follow. I think we only saw a fraction of it as we had to stop when our path turned to bog. Great to get some fresh air and exercise – still trying to walk off my baby tummy.
