5 Months Old

Peter really looks like a little boy these days, not a wee baby, especially in proper clothes. This is the first time he tried shoes on, although they were quickly kicked off hehe. He is so heavy now, at 16lbs! There are lots of new things he’s doing now like using his bouncer toy, going in the big bath and practising sitting up with help.

He’s also started going out in his pushchair all cuddled up in his fleece sleeping bag thing. He takes an interest in all his toys now but isn’t that great at handling them with much finesse. Everything is bash, bash , bash! His favourite thing to do just now is to grab his feet when you’re changing him. He looks so proud of himself, bless.

He’s grown lots of new hair which is really white blonde. His cheeks are quite often red now, we think because of his gums. No teeth yet though. He twists to the side from time to time but hasn’t turned over properly yet. However he did spin 180 degrees in his cot which was quite a surprise though.

The poor thing has also had his first proper illness this month. He had his last set of injections which he didn’t react to too well. After that both he and I got the Norovirus which was awful. He vomited his guts up and went completely off his milk. He was on calpol for a few days to handle his fever which made his poos quite smelly! My mum had to come and help us out but she also went down with it, then it got passed to my Dad and sister. Luckily Ben’s immune system is that of a superhero and he manage to avoid it. Thankfully after a week he was back to his old self and downing every bottle with gusto.
