Peter has reached a big mile stone, he’s half a year old. I keep saying I can’t believe where the time has gone, but really!!??!!! Where has it gone!!??!! How has my tiny baby turned from photo A to photo B, just like that?

What a big boys he is now. He must be around 17 lb 8oz now, (he was 16lb 10oz, two weeks ago). Although February has been a short month, Peter has tried lots of new things. Swimming, sitting-up, his highchair, proper screaming, playing peekaboo, proper chuckling and eating food.
He is so interested in the world around him as well. When you carry him around the house, there are always certain things that get a squeal of excitement, like the framed prints in the hall and the kettle. He loves looking out the window and we play a very one-sided “I spy” game, which always gets a smile.
He’s getting much better at going to sleep on his own at bed-time since we started doing the same calming ritual each night. Bath, Bottle downstairs with dimmed light , Read a story, then we wait for the first yawns (around 7:30 – 8:00) and take him up to his room. We say its bedtime, and sit in the chair in very,very dimmed light and sing him “twinkle twinkle little star”. Then we tuck him into his cot while he’s awake and only pat him and make the “shoosh shoosh” noise after that. Trying not to pick him up after that unless he’s having a meltdown. Not sure why I’ve gone into so much detail there ! Perhaps I will want to remember what we did, if we have another baby.
He still doesn’t roll over, he kind of twists to the side.
