7 Months Old

Another month has whizzed by and Peter has reached 7 months. He was unlucky after the chicken pox and got a nasty cold which left him with an infected eye, cough, streaiming nose and he lost his voice. But by the end of March he is happy and healthy again and glad to have his voice back, judging on the screams of excitement!

He’s doing brilliantly with his eating, and devours his meals with a fervour close to my own enormous appetite. He’s tried most veggies now and has tried a bit of chicken, beef and eggs. His favourite seems to be sweet potato. He is great as well taking water from his sippy cup.

He looks for certain toys now, like his Fireman Elmo. He knows when he’s finished his morning bottle to look over the chair and rocks on my lap till he comes up to play. Most of all he just loves bashing things against each other or on the table. Oh and most of our gadgets seem fair game to him. Perhaps it’s the geek in him coming out.

He talks to his toys and us now. Mostly it’s “ga ga ga” or “ba ba ba”, very cute. He loves peek-a-boo and pretending to hide into your arms. Everyone comments on his hair when we go out. It really is so blond, fluffy and stands a foot off his head. It’s gorgeous, even when he gets his porridge in it. He still has no teeth and is yet to roll over completly. All he wants to do is stand up (still aided atm).
